April 13th at Minglewood Hall saw an unbelievable night of 901 Wrestling action, with new champions crowned and a moment never before seen in company history!
Dorian Vain vs DJ Fury
DJ Fury made his return to 901 Wrestling and his Minglewood Hall debut! However, the opponent waiting was Dorian Vain, who has been undefeated in the New Era in the famed venue. Dorian had a fight on his hands from the former WildCard Rumble winner and Golden Glove finalist, but Dorian’s size and skill proved the difference against the veteran as Vain picked up another victory.
Tyler LeMasters vs Ken Dang
After a brawl to end the show in March, Tyler “The Lion” LeMasters looked to take on “The All American” Ken Dang, as Tyler looked for vengeance. Both competitors brought hard hitting strikes and technical know-how. However, it was Tyler’s devious nature that made the difference, as Tyler picks up a huge win against the former champion.
901 Wrestling Tag Team Championship: Gentlemen’s Club versus Top Shottaz
It was not originally planned for the Gentlemen’s Club to challenge the champions. But Roscoe Monroe interrupted the champion Top Shottaz while they addressed the crowd. Norman Meklakov seemed to be ill-prepared for the challenge, but did not leave his partner hanging. However, the same could not be said for Top Shottaz. When Don Montana needed the tag the most, MJ Davis dropped down from the ring mat, and left his partner alone. Don could not overcome the odds from there, and we have NEW tag team champions in The Gentlemen’s Club!
Brandon White vs Prince Adonis
In a very personal match, Brandon White and Prince Adonis came to Minglewood Hall ready to fight! With blood, sweat, and tears spanning a change in venue and change in years, both men left everything in (and out!) of the ring. Adonis, however, found the revenge he craved, using the chain around his neck to knock Brandon White prone to earn the victory. Not satisfied, Adonis kneed Brandon on the outside after the match, leaving Brandon out on the Minglewood Hall floor.
1819 Championship: Walker XIII vs The Merc Chris Evans - No Disqualification
It was a real-life thriller brought to the 901 Wrestling ring, but fans were witnessed to a war. The Memphis Made Monster Walker XIII came dressed for a Dead Man’s Party, but The Merc Chris Evans always comes prepared. In a match that saw chairs, security barriers, and, at the fans request, a table(!), the competitors left everything in the ring for the title that defines the city. But it was a Dead Man’s Slam off the ropes and through the table that leads to winner and NEW champion Walker XIII!
901 Wrestling Championship: Shane Shoffner vs Bobby Ford vs Kevin Bless
901 Wrestling Champion Kevin Bless has put the city on his back and has carried the Championship with pride. With former champions Shane Shoffner and Bobby Ford going for the championship, Kevin was facing his toughest battle since earning the championship. But there can be only one champion, and the want for gold seemed to quickly cause separation between Shane and Bobby. However, Kevin found one more moment, and held on to the 901 Wrestling Championship!
After the match, Tyler LeMasters checked on Shane Shoffner, and quickly began blaming Bobby Ford for the group not walking away with the championship. As Shane and Tyler began beating Ford into submission, Kevin Bless could not let things stand. Bless returned to the ring and helped Bobby fight back, including double drop kicks from the two men to force LeMasters and Shoffner’s retreat.
