The New Era of Professional Wrestling enters a New Year
Old acquaintances not forgot
2025 starts off with The Grappler gaining his second ever victory! However, there was no time for celebrations as Roscoe Monroe entered the ring and began attacking both competitors. Norman Meklakov rushed to the ring, and seemed to be trying to call Roscoe off, until he threw a massive punch into the face of The Grappler, and continued the destruction. All signs point to Meklakov’s “surprise” to change 901 Wrestling will be former rival Roscoe Monroe!
Dorian Vain victorious singles debut
Dorian Vain’s singles debut went to plan as he defeats the debuting Ron Justice with a submission. After the match, Dorian rained cash on his opponent, and instructed the crowd to “praise him”. While praise may be a strong word, Dorian left little doubt when, as commentator Anthony Sain observed, “Justice got served”.
Bluff City Boss on Top
In a highly anticipated “never before in the 901” match, two men who debuted with the Black Lodge Era finally stepped into the ring. While Bobby Ford pulled out all the stops, including feet on the ropes detected by Montana’s tag champion partner MJ Davis, Don Montana’s strength and speed became too much to overcome as the Bluff City Boss started the year with a singles victory.
All American Address
Ken Dang addressed the crowd, stating he will be focused on “securing the future” of 901 Wrestling. What might mean for the best roster in the territory?
1819 Championship is retained… technically.
While their paths have crossed before, this was another first time singles match up, for one of the biggest prizes in the 901. While Walker XIII went for the early start, The Merc Chris Evans was ready for the fight. As two of the heaviest hitters in the 901, neither man held back both in and out of the ring. In the end, Evans relied on a disqualification loss to retain the title. However, to Evans dismay, Walker XIII quickly recovered, and "walked” Evans out of the arena and out of the building. The issues between these men seem far from settled.
Main Event Mania
After winning the 901 Wrestling Classic, Tyler “The Lion” LeMasters quickly went after 901 Wrestling champion Kevin Bless. While Bless and LeMasters seemed very evenly matched throughout, the difference almost became Hunter Havoc on the outside in LeMasters’s corner. Bless was able to fight from behind, as he always seems to find a way to do, and pinned LeMasters to retain.
The fight had only begun for Bless, as Havoc stormed the ring, and he and LeMasters began stomping on Bless. Tag team champions Top Shottaz came to the aid, but were quickly blindsided by Bobby Ford and Shane Shoffner. At the end, the difference maker became the All American Ken Dang, perhaps fulfilling his promise of “securing” 901 Wrestling’s future.
But what does the future hold for the 901 Wrestling? As battle lines seem to be drawn, the battle becomes more inevitable.
901 Wrestling returns to Minglewood Hall March 2nd, with the first match announced Tuesday, January 14th, at 9:01 AM across social media!
