Two huge matches have been confirmed for Hyped Up ‘25 at Minglewood Hall on Sunday, April 13th, and both are title matches.
In a no-disqualification match, Walker XIII looks to finally earn the long-coveted 1819 Championship when he faces champion The Merc Chris Evans! The last time these two met, Merc used the title belt to catch Walker XIII mid-move and hold on to the title by disqualification. Though it may seem Evans loses the “champion’s advantage”, Merc has proven dangerous before in this type of environment. Merc defeated Prince Adonis in Falls Count Anywhere at Black Lodge on his original rise to earn the championship. And though Walker XIII is a monster on his own, he fought in brawls across Memphis years before discovering the monster inside. With the title on the line, and no limits to be seen, this should prove to be an absolute fight!
Shane Shoffner made Kevin Bless tap out Sunday night… but the ref was distracted by Ken Dang and Tyler LeMasters on the outside. Kevin Bless, by all accounts, escaped. And Shane Shoffner made sure the office heard it. However, while Bobby Ford has not seen many wins since coming to Minglewood Hall, he still sits atop a list of contenders. Kevin Bless, always the fighter, always with the city on his back, wants to prove without a doubt he is the best. In the main event, he’ll get to do just that, taking on two top contenders at once. Will the recent alliance between Shoffner and Ford, could the 901 Wrestling Champion (OF THE WORLD) be in for a long night?
During his “Head of State” address after the match, Dorian Vain referenced an incoming opponent. While Vain was not complimentary, the man referenced, DJ Fury, is a former champion in the 901, and a Wild Card Rumble winner in 2023. If Dorian carries himself with the same pompous attitude as he does speaking to the 901 fans, he may find himself in trouble April 13th!
